Roach
Common Roach is a species of freshwater Carp found all over Europe. These fish inhabit both freshwater and brackish environments and survive in incredibly cold temperatures, but usually dwell in lakes and slow rivers. Common Roach usually grow to a length of 6-16 in (15-40 cm) and can weigh up to 5 lb (2 kg). They feed primarily on algae, aquatic vegetation, insect larvae, mollusks and other invertebrates.
